The music business is tough. Thankfully there are established musicians like Lee who have a passion for encouraging/mentoring young musicicians.

“Supporting Aspiring Musicians towards a Professional Music Career through Education, Recording, Performing, Mentoring, Label Access and Prizes”
I was Lee’s personal assistant/production coordinator for 4 years. I did everything from errands to tour managing to album production to even performing in Lee’s band (and everything in between). When I left the position I joked with Lee that I had “graduated from the University of Lee Ritenour.” I learned so much working on his projects it literally felt like I should receive some kind of degree… haha! The project I’m most proud of to have worked on though is 6 String Theory. I won’t go into the whole history here but if you are a guitarist, pianist, bassist, or drummer you need to scrape together $25 and sign up. Here’s why: instant access to literally the best musicians in world, mentoring, and a chance to perform on Lee’s upcoming album (Concord records). As musicians we are all looking for ways to get “in the door.” And thankfully Lee has passion for helping young musicians do exactly that. He did that for me – trusting a young hardworking kid right out of college with his projects. There are tons of other prizes as well, but the access to great musicians who actually are excited about helping you is by far the most valuable in my opinion.
